DATELINE: Rotary International Convention, June 24-27, San Antonio, Texas.

Rotarian Ken Boyd Selected for
Key Rotary International Chairmanship

The convention launched the 2001- 2002 Rotary year theme "Mankind Is Our Business" and kicked off the most ambitious, far reaching membership campaign in Rotary's history entitled "Rotary's Global Quest". The Rotary International Global Quest program is Chaired by none other than Kerman Rotary's own Past President and Past District Governor Ken Boyd.

Kerman Rotary's Ken Boyd was a panelist on the Membership Development and Retention Task Force Workshop, and Chaired the Presidents' Workshop at the convention attended by 25,000 Rotarians from around the world representing 163 countries.

Rotarians at the 92nd annual gathering, also attended by Mrs. Sue Boyd and Kerman Rotary Incoming President Dennis and his wife Brenda Torigian of Kerman, were challenged by incoming Rotary International President Richard D. King to promote membership growth, membership education, the public image of Rotary, and to further develop and improve each Rotary Club. The objective of President King's challenge is to grow the business of Rotary, that is, the business of people helping people.
